On August 1st, early Thursday morning during Ramadan 2013, the Islamic Society of Simi Valley youth group prepared for a generous deed of contributing in society.
A group of about 12 youth dedicated their time and effort to help out at the Simi Valley Samaritan Center where the homeless and misfortunate come for aid.
At the center, ISSV youth took the tasks of assembling deli lunch sandwiches, packaging meals, serving breakfast in the cafeteria and sorting out and organizing hundreds of canned foods in the pantry room.
It was a rewarding experience where one of the integral duties in Ramadan was applied, to feed the poor and needy. We thank the youth that helped out and we thank the administrators at the Samaritan Center for welcoming ISSV. The event was a wonderful success.
